I am particularly sensitive to visual and emotional impressions that contribute daily to a positive and inspiring atmosphere and a high degree of harmony and serenity. These impressions are influenced by my observations of the environment; an environment which is manufacturable… that’s where my passion lies.
During and after my degree in Law I gained professional experience at Nora Flinterman BV, importer of the world’s most beautiful and renowned interior design brands. Later, after having completed a postgraduate degree in journalism, I joined ‘Residence‘, the leading interior design magazine of that time, in 1994. Various sections followed, in which writing texts often went hand in hand with (photo)-styling and production. As a freelancer I later worked for other clients such as Christies, Buitenleven, Gardens & Country and Vivenda, while at the same time more and more private clients asked for interior advice. Since 2007 the emphasis of my work has been on designing and renovating unique projects, such as houses, restaurants and office buildings. Since 2015, I have also been working as the in-house designer of the Dutch National Postcode Lottery.
